The Ostfront

Today, I was listening to Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History, specifically Show #28, ghosts of the Ostfront, and I think I begin to realize just why the Russians were so vengeful at the Germans (and, thus, why the Germans wanted to try to surrender to the Americans and British). Just the depths of the genocide and atrocities are staggering.
On a lighter note, there’s always Voytek the soldier bear.
