Windows security…

This actually came up in conversation with someone at work about two months ago, but the Conficker debacle has me thinking about it again.
It works like this:
Socks keeps bears away. I can’t tell you how, but she does. After all, it must be working – you don’t see any bears, do you?
Windows security is the same way. “It’s secure. We can’t tell you how or why, but it is. We have wicked smart people on it.”
Personally, I prefer Peer Review.
