A little reality check….

So, a friend of mine gave a financial planner/insurance benefits guy our info, which is fine. We met with him, not interested, upstanding guy, no issues.
The flip side to this is that (for some reason), my mind went to dark places.
* What if he was casing the house? * What if he was a nutter? * etc.
So, I ordered a SmartCarry holster (for just around the house because I can’t carry outside the house without risking revocation of my pistol license and forfeiture of all my guns) and a V-Line pistol safe (no batteries!).
I’d been meaning to do both for awhile, this just lit a fire under me to do so.

You had a financial planner in the house? After what those guys have done to the economy? They're dangerous!
It gets worse – a friend from the fire department is a mortgage broker and has convinced me to have him over for supper to talk about redoing the mortgage. Between the mortgages he does (simple interest, not compound, paid every two weeks) and the fact that mortgage rates have fallen quite a bit since we bought our house, he's saying that he may be able to have us paying off the house in 18 years while having a lower monthly payments.
I figure it's worth listening to him, at least.
I hadn't noticed that you were syncing LJ comments to WordPress comments. That's not an LJXP feature, is it?
Nah, it's LJ Comments Import.
I tried installing the LJ Comments Import plugin, but when I select Sync Livejournal Comments nothing happens. Does it work with newer versions of WP? Or do you know what might be wrong?
If memory serves there is a bug in it, where it doesn’t import old comments. I have been meaning to fix it, but haven’t had the time.
It does, however, work with new comments.
