I'm watching C-SPAN prior to the VP debates.
Kucinich is on talking about how to revitalize main street.
Socialized medicine.. save medicare.. blaa blaa… nationalize the oil companies…
Wait, what?
Essentially, he's arguing that “if we're nationalizing AIG, why don't we do the oil companies too? It will have a better effect on the economy than taking AIG's bad debt will”.
As much as I oppose nationalization, the man has a point. Take over a successful industry, not a failing one.
Oh, and he wants to abolish NAFTA. That's the one thing on which he and I seem to agree with his plan to revitalize main street. Everything else is rampant socialism.
