The Mini has arrived.

Actually, it arrived a week ago; this is just the first time I've had to sit and arrange the photos. I've been too busy playing with it.
First, I'd like to express my sympathies to the Catholics in the crowd. While I'm not religious myself, one cannot ignore the influence that the Catholic church has on the world, and I think JP II has been one of the better Popes. Therefore, his illness does sadden me, as I'm sure it saddens others who read this.
Anyway, on to lighter subjects:

… while Arthur examines the packing material.

Liz unpacks her new printer, an Epson Stylus Photo RX500. Note to self: Remember to save the UPC from the box next time, so you don't lose out on the $130 rebate! (Dumbass attack). Anyway, it's a pretty slick printer. Super fast scans, excellent print quality. Word to the wise, however: don't install the epson software. It's not really needed, and tends to muck things up.

The open box. Instruction packet is on top.

Removed the instruction packet. Extra RAM is packed at the top of the box. This is the stock 256MB module, which just happens to fit perfectly into my Dual Athlon box. Woohoo! No wasted bits!

The first look at the Mini. Looks like they packed it upside down. Oops. Oh well. Still pretty.

It's out of the box. Isn't it pretty?

In case people don't realize how really small this thing is, this Penguin Mints tin is Altoids tin size….

Here we have some power bits and the DVI-VGA converter. Note that they got rid of the stupid pigtail cable and just went with a solid box! About time, eh?

And here we have a pretty sunset, which just happened to be going on at the same time.

Another new machine – the ThinkBook! (What can I say – it's the next best thing to a PowerBook until one with a decent resolution comes out).
